Over the weekend, I watched TV and I noticed that the word change is used very often. Ideas are born out of first identifying a challenge. Sometimes the things around us have been done in a certain way, we have always done it the same way, accepting a change becomes difficult or we make excuses rather than making a change for something which most of the time is better, more convenient or easier. Mom will always use a yellow taxi. Alot of our friends and family talked about ride sharing apps, they were cheaper but mom will just not make that change.

We traveled recently, the meter was turned on as we all got into the taxi from home, by the time we got to the airport, it was $45. We all told her, that would have been less on the ride sharing apps.
.
On our way back, she downloaded one of the very popular ride sharing apps, the price was right there, it was $25, she shook her head. Eugene said mom really? Timothy said mom write to the yellow cab company and ask for a refund. I just laughed my head off. She smiled!!!
.
Technology has brought alot of changes around us, let’s take time to check if the technological change around you is positive and beneficial to you, embrace it!

Ask a kid to share an idea with you in an area he/she wants to make a change. Help to bring it to life!!
Many times as kids we have so many ideas, new ways of doing something, changing things that are already in existence, sometimes ideas come from school, maybe during a class, sometimes from home. Ideas come in different ways and from different ways. Once we have the ideas, here is how we can bring it to life.

Words of encouragement – It is the first support we need, words of encouragement keep the idea going.

Exploring – Checking out different ways or methods of developing those ideas and bringing it to life.
.
Like minds – Surround yourself with people who embrace your vision.
.
Networking – Find people who will help to take the vision forward.
.
Disappointment – Sometimes it just does not go as planned. Disappointment causes us to sit back and rethink, sometimes to change our method or change the way we are doing it, sometimes it allows us to search deeper, sometimes a call for help.

Never give up – You can restart all over again!!!!! Keep working!!!

Last weekend, the cold weather keeps us indoors longer, I love soccer, basketball, ping pong and foosball. Soccer is outside in the Summer, the others are indoor sports. I wanted to watch a different kind of sports, as I flipped through the channels I got to a track sports, It was a 200 meter race, I watched the runners walk out from probably the locker room, their names were announced and they got to the start race, I stepped out to call Timothy and Eugene we returned and the race had started, we jumped up and down and encouraged the runner in yellow to keep going, Eugene cheered for the runner in orange, Timothy cheered for the runner in blue, we kept jumping and directing, moving from one side of the TV to the other and cheering, giving instructions, it felt like we were on that track running.

The climax was when my runner was getting close, the next person was in position waiting to receive the baton, his hand was right behind him, he moved with his eyes focused, you can see he had placed himself strategically so that as soon as he gets the baton he will take off, the lines on the floor closed in, with more speed applied, I stopped moving, i did not alter a word, I folded my hands, it was getting closer, his eyes were fixed to his front, he did not tilt anymore, there was silence, Eugene and Timothy were quiet as well. Who will receive the Barton first, we were counting in seconds, no time left, and&immediately he got the baton, he ran with the BATON. It was fierce, he was so fast and I laid down on my bed!! The baton is now in the hands of every member of the TECH community. Creativity and innovations are rising up every day. So many ideas are going through the process of becoming products, the tech community needs to prepare KIDS for the handing of the professional baton so that kids will run with it. Starting with learning how to code is the drill!!!

Two days ago, we woke up to start the day and get ready for school, we pray together as a family, we go into the bathroom to take a shower, we get dressed for school (we have to get all our clothing, socks, thermal wear, underwear ready the night before) after we get dressed, we go to mom to help out in either cooking, serving our breakfast or packing our lunch, while we are doing these, mom checks our hair if it is properly combed, our clothes if we ironed them properly, if we put lotion on our faces or not, if we have lotion on our bodies, if we put all our books into our backpack after studying the previous night, after eating she ensures we take our supplements and then we go to school. It quickly occurred to me that this happens in TECH and this is how it happens in TECH.

The TECH community has changed the face of every profession within the last decade, it became the centerpiece, the forerunner of every profession, Technology checks in and protect every other profession. Technology is present when ideas are hatched, it is an essential integrative piece in the formation of organizations, hospital, bakeries, schools, startups, banks, staffing agencies, the printing press. The process of integrating Technology happens before these organizations are open to their customers or before it gets to the users.

Just like my brothers and I are checked before going out of the door, Technology checks every idea, it comes in contact with ideas in the formative stages of the idea and the building of every idea into an organization before getting to the customers/users.

Technology is a delicate, essential, important aspect of every profession in the Digital World and that gives every member of the TECH community a RESPONSIBILITY in the caring and nurturing of all other professions like mom does to her three boys.
