The role of Kids in Tech

Recently, we were speakers at a DevFest event. We talked about the role of kids in Tech.
It was an amazing event. We also got to hear about the tech industry from some amazing speakers.
Goals

Goals

At the age of 5, I wanted to create an app and share it with the World, I have always thought of sharing something with the World. When I first started learning python, my first thought was to build a project I can share with the world. A game came to my mind, I still remember telling mom that 50 people could play this game, when my brothers’ friends all joined it was so wonderful. That showed me, making a global change is possible. Perseverance, focus, and dedication is a key necessary for this journey.
Whatever is your goal always remember perseverance, focus, and dedication is the key to accomplish that goal.
We can’t win all the time!

We can’t win all the time!

Winning is the goal everyone is driving toward, whether that’s in sports, business, or socially. Winning brings us a feeling of pride, knowing that you accomplished something, but sometimes we don’t win. A lot of the times when we start a new project, a lot of things go wrong. We make mistake after mistake over and over again. The best thing we can do is learn from our mistakes so that we can succeed next time. You might have to lose a few times before you win, but if you work hard enough and never give up, it will all be worth it.
Modeling the tech industry

Modeling the tech industry

At lunch, we talked about our favorite classes, subjects we liked very much, our grades and what we all hope to be after college. It was an interesting conversation. Peter wanted to be a Doctor because he wants to care for the sick, John wants to be a lawyer because he wants to help those who have been accused falsely, it dawned on me that no one mentioned technology, I talked about all the changes technology has brought to all profession. I told them it is glaring.

I wondered, how can the tech industry be modeled to my peers? it’s the future, it has started now. Kids need to see it.

It’s our responsibility to model the World of Technology. Let’s all be models, exhibiting the world of Technology to kids at a young age.

Let’s model the World of Technology today!

Who can really teach kids to code?

Who can really teach kids to code?

This question is a big question, there is a huge shortage in the tech industry to fill the jobs that are available.

There are very few computer science teachers in schools, who will really teach the kids?
Bringing a change is in the hands of every developer, it will start in the homes, families, neighborhood, and communities.
It is a challenge only the tech community can make the change.
