Doing Things at the Right Time

Doing Things at the Right Time

An instrumentalist can play a piece of music and play all the right notes, but if it’s not the right rhythm or played at the wrong time, it’s just as bad as a wrong note! The same can be applied to life. It’s important to know when to start and end different activities and tasks. For example, nothing is wrong with coding, but if you are coding instead of doing your homework or doing chores around the house, that is a problem for you and your family. Having discipline and self-control at a young age will set you on the path to being a well-rounded adult in the future. Let us focus on doing things at the right time so we stay focused and alert at the task at hand.

Teamwork in Spirit Week

Teamwork in Spirit Week

This past week was spirit week at our school. Each class also had an assigned wall in the gymnasium to decorate. Since my 11th-grade class is the biggest, we had two walls to fill up. If it was one or two people working on it, it would never have been finished in time, but because we all worked together to color, cut, and tape all the decorations, we were able to complete our project in time! Another great example of how teamwork can make the dream work.

String Functions and Function Pointers – C on SoloLearn

Today, I talked about String Functions and Function Pointers on C in SoloLearn. I learned how to use arrays properly and what an ‘array of strings’ is.

Vector Arithmetic – R on Sololearn

Today I practiced R on Sololearn! This time I went over vector arithmetic. If two vectors are of equal length, you can add, subtract, multiply, and divide them. I also go over some more vector functions such as mean and median, which return the average number of the data and the middle number in the ordered set, respectively. Next time I will be going over lists!

Vector Functions – R on Sololearn!

Today I practiced R on Sololearn! This time I went over some vector functions such as sort, length, and seq, which can be used to filter items in a vector.

Next time I will be going over how we can use vectors to do some basic arithmetic!
