Last week, we had a great opportunity to volunteer for VBS at our church. So many kids came out and enjoyed the snacks, messages, and games. The best part of the week was seeing how many people helped to make the whole event happen. What an encouragement it is to see so many adults that want to invest in another child’s life by putting their own time, money, and energy into them. While it may not specifically be in technology, this is what BugZero is all about! We want to invest time into kids so that they can be the best version of themselves and have everything they need as they grow up and become adults.

Last week was basketball camp! We had a great time teaching kids the fundamentals of basketball such as pass-and-cut offense and ball handling drills. We also worked on shooting exercises like form shooting and layups. The themes of the week were hard work, humility, communication, and consistency. Each one of these characteristics is crucial in not only being a good basketball player but also for school and the work environment. Everyone needs these attributes the younger kids learn them, the better. So many life skills can be gained from just playing team sports!

We wrote a new book and had a book signing at ALA (American Library Association). It was a fantastic event and we met with Elementary, Middle, and High school librarians. We also met with College librarians. We also met teachers across the globe. That many book enthusiasts from across the globe was a blast. You can get the book from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Walmart, and Target. Just search “Grandpa and Grandma, Can you Code”.
