We wrote a new book and had a book signing at ALA (American Library Association). It was a fantastic event and we met with Elementary, Middle, and High school librarians. We also met with College librarians. We also met teachers across the globe. That many book enthusiasts from across the globe was a blast. You can get the book from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Walmart, and Target. Just search “Grandpa and Grandma, Can you Code”.

Today celebrates the beginning of our great country! We are thankful for all the brave men and women who started what we call “The United States” and are grateful for the people who have worked and fought to keep our country free. If you have a loved one or know someone who has served or is currently serving, make sure to say thank you to them for doing what they do! Happy 4th of July everyone!

My brothers and I had the opportunity to go to The Wilds Christian Camp over in Brevard, NC with our church and 10 different churches. We had an amazing time! We went on the Giant Swing, played Basketball and Soccer, and spent time in God’s Word in the services and God and I Time. You never realize how much life can change in a week. People getting saved and recognizing Jesus Christ. The motto was “Be different when you leave than when you came.”

This summer, I have been waking up for soccer training at 4:00 in the morning. Why do I do that? Why would I wake up early during summer? The answer is that I want to be better at soccer. I want to be the best version of myself so that I can help our soccer team this upcoming school year. This idea can be applied to anything, not just soccer. You do not have to wake up at 4 AM, but you should be willing to push yourself, step out of your comfort zone, and do whatever it takes to be successful. In coding, you will have to be able to be uncomfortable and learn to push through the many obstacles. These trials are necessary, however, for you to be the best programmer that you can be. This skill not only translates to coding, but it also works for anything else you want to do in life!
