Coloring book

Coloring book

Coloring books have been used for many years by parents for many reasons. I remember as a little boy, we had several coloring books we’d color in. It was a fun activity for us. I didn’t know why we had so many coloring books.

Most of the time at the airport I see kids coloring. I observed that kids stayed focused while coloring. In the last couple of months, I have done research and found out the many benefits of coloring,  it was very interesting to discover that coloring also helps kids stay focused and it enhances creativity.
Coloring is not only for kids but it is for adults as well.
Remember creativity and focus are skills needed in coding.
Every kid’s first programming

Every kid’s first programming

The other day, I was thinking about something that left me really surprised. It is how we (kids) do not need to be taught the different features on a new phone or a smart toy, some are complicated but kids do not need any training to figure it out.
Figuring out smart toys/devices is easy, kids learn languages easily, we can start by showing/ telling kids the application of technology all around. We need to be intentional about it. That is the first programming class at home.
Creativity

Creativity

Most people think that everything that they can think of is already existing. That’s wrong! Everyone has a little bit of creativity in them. If we use that in coding, there will be more websites and applications that can be made to solve the problem in your community or even the world! Don’t wait any longer, work on your curiosity today!

The “Do-not’s” in coding

The “Do-not’s” in coding

1. Do not repeat. Repeating code is probably one of the #1 most criticized things about coding. Repeating code makes it difficult for someone else to read by making your code look sloppy. It also is not very professional.

2.  Do not give up! Coding can be difficult or hard if you make hard. Coding is fun and not as difficult when you read, study, and run code to test your knowledge. You won’t get any better at coding unless you keep going at it! Coding is one of those things where you get better with more experience.

Two things that make coding such a valuable skill

Two things that make coding such a valuable skill

1. Without coding, every device you use every day would never exist. This includes your phone, computer, TV, and more! We love our electronics because we play games on them. Coding made those games too! As AI gets bigger and bigger so will coding because guess what? Coding powers that too!
2. You can help people around you. Programming is ALL about identifying challenges and solving them. If you can solve a challenge that is happening in your community or even the world, you would be helping so many people in their everyday life.
Hard work pays off!

Hard work pays off!

Spring Break is finally here! Even though we are on break, we still have work to do concerning our books and the website. Right now, we are working on translating the books to Spanish. Meanwhile, the bugzero.codes website is undergoing some changes as we try to make the website a little bit more pleasing to our viewers. We definitely have work ahead of us, but hard work pays off, especially for a programmer. When you start programming, it may be hard work, but you just have to keep pushing forward. Once you do that, I think you’ll be happy with your results.
