I missed doing chores this morning ( wiping down the countertop and putting the dishes away). When we got back, food was ready. Mom asked me a question that really got me thinking, she asked if my basketball coach could coach the team and play the game all by himself? I pondered over that question. No, that is not possible. I replied that is not a game. I reminded her of the amazing role everyone plays in the court and the importance of every player’s role is to the team. She said teamwork is valuable especially at home.
I apologized and remembered when one player is sick or injured, the entire team is affected.
Everyone has a role to play in growing the TECH community in 2019. We have so much to do in every profession. Every professional community is waiting for the TECH community.
Let’s not forget our role in the solution. For some it is mentoring, for some, it is sparking curiosity, for some, it is encouraging, for some it is teaching, for some, it is identifying and developing the big idea. For many, it is implementing the solution.
We have a mandate as the fastest growing industry in the World.

This week at school is Spirit Week! We have themes for different days. We had teams like business casual and Onesie Army. I love spirit week because it is a group project.
We sit down together and agree on our theme. After school, we plan what we’ll wear. Most of the time random clothes you have at home with a little dash of creativity! When the entire school comes together it’s awesome! It’s an
amazing way to start 2019 with creativity and collaboration.
I am constantly reminded that we win together. Teamwork beats the work of an individual. If every single student was wearing what they wished it wouldn’t be as fun as groups.
2019 is a year of teamwork. Let us identify a challenge and build its solution collectively.
