Learn to Spell: an Educational App
Learning to spell is a cornerstone of our education and how we learn. Using games to help teach is a technique that is fun and effective.
This app lets the user choose from a variety of spelling lists categorized first by the elementary grade and then by different word sounds, like short ‘a’ or long ‘a’.
Once the user has studied the spelling list and learned the basics about the word type, they can play the Guess the Word game. The Hangman-like game let’s you choose letters to form a word, using the word formation information to help guess the word before your tries run out.
